Winterboro High School
The Winterboro Educational Foundation, Inc.
“Ensuring Opportunities for the Future”
Founded in 1992 the Winterboro Educational Foundation is a 501-C not for profit corporation.
The sole objectives of the foundation is to provide financial support through fund raising, special events and positive advocacy for the school in order to improve the school’s buildings, equipment, instructional resources and academic standards.
Today this foundation has grown to include local citizens, alumni and business people with progress made through gifts to the school library, computers, auditorium seating, sound equipment, science equipment and scholarships.
The Winterboro Educational Foundation was gifted with an anonymous donation of one million dollars for scholarships for student graduating from Winterboro School. Our scholarships have been named in honor of three former student of the school. (Rebecca Armbrester Challender, Diane Carr, and Kelly Newsome Gaither.
Just as the early settlers of Winterboro dreamed of educating their children to become doctors, lawyers, business managers, etc; so do the Winterboro Education Foundation value traditions and strive to make available to it’s students the education, motivation, and fortitude to excel in their lives.
